“I believe that every student should feel represented and appreciated within the classroom. I want to inspire my students to create, use their imagination, think outside of the box, get their hands dirty and have fun, all while learning. I aspire to maintain an inclusive classroom where each student feels nurtured, understood and appreciated for their uniqueness and exceptionalities.” –Sydney
“Life is a journey and there is no predicting the outcome, the only things you can control are your choices and they will define who you are.”
– Richard Castle (ABC)
Teaching has always been my life’s passion, whether it be working with small children, young adults or exceptional students. Following high school, I began working at a special needs school and I just felt like it was what I was meant to do for the rest of my life. I have so much fun working with kids, I love seeing their eyes light up when we begin learning something they’re interested in and hearing them laugh and enjoy themselves in the classroom. I hope to learn how to be an even better teacher from my lead teacher Susie Massey and I aspire to make a positive impact on my students lives. I want my students to be excited to come to school every day and ready to learn.
Roycemore blew me away with its diversity and emphasis on a positive learning environment. I look forward to my new journey as a faculty member.
