Anne M. Aune


Annie is a prekindergarten teacher for children at risk in the Chicago Public Schools. She co-teaches with a Diverse Learner teacher in an Inclusive classroom that provides instruction to students in the general population alongside students with Individualized Education Plans. As a student of John W. Schmid at Roycemore in the 1980’s, she was inspired to pursue a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Theatre at Lawrence University. After that she went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership with a concentration in Early Childhood Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also holds an endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language and is currently pursuing an endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education. She and her husband Chuck live in Chicago and have a teenage son and daughter.
