Thomas J. Ellis Service Award 2025
Congratulations to Roycemore Junior Aidan Goldstein, this year's recipient of the Thomas J. Ellis Service Award!
The Thomas J. Ellis Service Award is given to one student from any division of Roycemore School who truly embodies the core value of Community. This award is named in honor of Thomas J. Ellis, who served as chair of Roycemore’s Board of Trustees for 14 years, ensuring that the many transitions under his leadership were smooth, supported, and laid a foundation for the continued success of Roycemore. His devoted service, kindness, and compassion for our mission serve as an inspiration to all. This award was established in 2020 in his honor and is the only student award given at Roycemore's annual Celebration of Dedication and Excellence ceremony, which took place on Friday, April 11th.
Aidan serves not only as an ambassador for Roycemore, displaying excellent citizenship within our school community, but also goes above and beyond the Roycemore campus to serve the broader community.
Throughout Aidan’s time at Roycemore, he has grown as a leader and pushed himself to be involved in many different clubs, activities, and teams. Aidan has demonstrated his Griffin pride through his participation in track and field, basketball, and volleyball. As a Student Ambassador, member of the Student Government, and National Honor Society, he serves as a leader not only for the Upper School but for Roycemore School as a whole. Aidan understands the uniqueness of the Roycemore Community through his special perspective as the child of a Roycemore Alum.
Aidan’s service extends beyond the Roycemore community through his involvement in Interact Club, a high school program sponsored by Rotary International. Aidan also continued his local community service during his 2025 JST project, choosing to complete marketing and volunteer work for Avery’s Helpful Hair Kits, a nonprofit organization led by a Roycemore alumna and former Trustee.
Congratulations, Aidan — thank you for all of your contributions to the Roycemore School community!
