Meet the Eisner Scholars: Alexandra R. '28
Meet Alexandra R. ‘28, one of our youngest Eisner Scholars!
Alexandra is a current freshman and has attended Roycemore since 1st grade. Now in her ninth year as a Griffin, Alexandra has enjoyed watching the school and its traditions evolve over the years. Last month, she got to experience one of her favorite Roycemore traditions through the eyes of an Upper Schooler for the first time.
“It was cool going to Carnival when I was little, and now organizing Carnival is really awesome, especially because it’s changed a lot!” said Alexandra. “It’s really cool to see how much effort the high schoolers put into it because when you go in Lower School, you don’t realize all that goes into it.”
Alexandra is an involved member of the Roycemore student body, winning September’s Griffin of the Month award for demonstrating Scholarship, one of the qualities included in Roycemore’s Portrait of a Griffin. She is passionate about math, currently taking AP Calculus BC, and she eventually wants to become a physics professor. Alexandra also speaks four languages: English, Russian, French, and Spanish.
Alexandra appreciates the Eisner Scholarship for allowing her to pursue these interests. “It’s really an opportunity to be able to go to the school I want to go to tuition-free and explore my passions. I really like Roycemore because it’s a small school, so I can really fit it around myself,” she said. “I’ve known about the Eisner Scholarship since I was in 3rd or 4th grade, and I already knew that I wanted to apply for it back then.”
Alexandra encourages her fellow Griffins and students interested in joining the Roycemore community to apply. “Don’t be scared — just go for it!” she said. “It’s a great opportunity and if you don’t try it, you’ll never know if you might get the amazing tuition-free high school experience.”
