Faculty Friday: Ashley Quire, College Guidance and Associate Director of DEI Admissions

Faculty Friday, 12 May 2023

Happy Faculty Friday, Roycemore! Today we’re excited to introduce you to the newest member of Roycemore’s faculty, Ashley originally joined the Roycemore community as a Middle School parent but has recently come on board as College Guidance and the Associate Director of DEI Admissions. She brings her knowledge as a parent, as well as over ten years in the college admissions business, to the job.

An average day for Ashley is all about connecting with families, both current and prospective, to provide them with the information they need to make intentional choices about Roycemore and their academic futures. Whether that means hopping on the phone to answer questions about the admissions process, coordinating with the faculty to develop workshops for Upper School school students working on college applications, or walking the halls on a tour, she’s on it! Ashley knows firsthand what Roycemore can mean to a student; she chose to transfer from the public school system because she found, in her words, “a school that could really see my daughter.” Roycemore helped reignite a love of learning for her child and she’s excited to help other families find that same spark.

As we wrap up the current school year, Ashley’s already looking forward to next fall, where she hopes to create and implement programming to grow our Upper School community. As always, it’s not just about the numbers at Roycemore - she’s committed to making sure that all students are given the opportunity to make an intentional choice about what school is right for them. Her work goes beyond just finding students and focuses on making sure each student she interacts with can see themselves at Roycemods and is also aware of every possible resource they can use to achieve success. Alongside her years of experience in the admissions world, she has a deep commitment to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the education space.

That commitment is evident in the work she does outside of Roycemore with her nonprofit, Inquire Higher. There, she works to promote Black students and professionals by creating a support network and offering multimedia programming about college admissions, personal finance, and more. Outside of work, she also loves spending time with her family, including her two Roycemore students. We’re so excited to have Ashley on board and can’t wait to see all the ways she’ll contribute to the school!
