Roycemore’s Coronavirus Response Plan

Roycemore's Pandemic Response

Our top priority at Roycemore School is to do all that we can to help keep our students, faculty, and staff safe. We have a planned response in place regarding pandemics that includes measures to help prevent the spread of communicable diseases within our community. This plan includes both general information common to most organizations as well as specific information unique to our school. We also have a Health and Safety Re-Entry Plan that is linked below, along with a video from our Head of School introducing the plan. Furthermore, we have released an Academic Re-Entry Plan for 2020-2021 that shares information about our multiple enrollment options and in-depth details per division about how academic learning will be executed for the 2020-2021 school year.

Remote Learning

We are committed to providing the best educational value possible to all our Roycemore students. At times, that educational value may need to take place in a remote learning environment (i.e. learning from home). Please see the Roycemore Remote Learning page below to familiarize yourself with how remote learning works at Roycemore. The Parents Page on our site has tips that are helpful to families in preparing for a remote learning situation.

Notification Request and Travel Updates

  • In an effort to keep everyone safe during this time, we ask that any member of the Roycemore community (students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors) who have received confirmation that a family member is infected with COVID-19 to please report that information to the school by emailing afinleyodell@roycemoreschool.org.
  • Following guidance from the CDC, any travelers coming to the U.S. from any country under a CDC Warning Level 3 (Avoid Nonessential Travel) are expected to self-isolate for 14 days, regardless of whether that direction is specifically given to them upon entry into the U.S.

Important Hygiene Reminders to Reduce the Spread of COVID-19

  • Wash hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • Sneeze and cough into a tissue if possible or a bent elbow if no tissue is available.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Don’t share drinks or food.
  • Stay home if you feel ill.
