INVEST IN YOUR CHILD'S FUTURE

At Roycemore School, we value each member of our community and the unique contribution each student makes to our collective excellence. We are among the most diverse independent schools in our region, and we believe racial, cultural, and economic diversity enriches our school. Because Roycemore is committed to remaining accessible and affordable to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds, we use a sliding scale tuition model that applies a tuition range based on each family’s particular circumstances.

Our extraordinary financial commitment to the tuition assistance program seeks to sustain access to Roycemore for diverse and qualified students.

  • 50% of our currently enrolled students receive some tuition reduction.
  • We use a sliding scale tuition model to personalize a tuition process that takes into account each family’s unique details.

Decisions about admission and financial aid are two separate application processes. Returning families requesting consideration for financial aid are required to reapply annually as part of the re-enrollment process in January of each year. All financial information provided is held in strict confidence.

Financial Aid Requirements

To help us objectively calculate what a family is able to contribute to educational expenses, families are asked to complete an online application through Clarity.

Roycemore uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. To get started, please go to Clarity and create an account. You are able to save your progress and return at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available through the “Help” button in the bottom left of the screen, as well as email and phone support at support@clarityapp.com or 206-210-3752.

To apply, you will need to submit an online application through Clarity. You will need a copy of your most recent federal 1040 tax form and W2 wage statements.

Does Roycemore offer any merit scholarships?

Roycemore offers one or more Eisner Scholarships for Upper School students each year. The Robert Eisner Distinguished Scholar Program rewards academic excellence and recognizes truly outstanding 9th and 10th graders with a full-tuition, renewable scholarship.

All families who currently receive financial aid must reapply each year. Our Access and Affordability Committee will attempt to keep a family’s tuition at a similar level each school year as long as no major changes have occurred in the family’s financial situation during the previous year.

If parents are separated, who should apply for financial aid?

We require that both the custodial and the non-custodial parent (or both co-custodial parents) complete and submit an application through Clarity.
