Admissions

Welcome to Admissions at Roycemore!

Hi, I’m Amanda Avery, Roycemore School’s Director of Admissions

Just as every student at Roycemore is treated as an individual, we understand that every path to enrollment is as unique as the family undertaking the process. Recognizing this, I feel it’s important to approach Admissions with enthusiasm and empathy. I hope you will feel comfortable to ask me questions at any step along the way.

Applications for 2020/21 admission are now available. For priority admissions consideration, applications should be submitted by January 31st. I encourage you and your family to schedule a campus tour in order to become more familiar with the school. I set aside a large part of my schedule for individual appointments and tours, but also encourage families to consider attending an admissions event in order to speak with current Roycemore faculty, parents, and students. For a full listing of admissions events, please click here I look forward to hearing from you, soon!

Why Roycemore?

Parents and students choose Roycemore School for their children because of outstanding college-preparatory academic programs, unrestricted access for all students to a variety of extracurricular activities, and the individualized focus on fostering the potential of each student. What they find when they arrive, is a second family, a caring environment and a village of people whose mission is their child’s personal success. Roycemore’s community is small by design, yet it is very diverse and unique with a  focus on individuals discovering their strengths.

With premiere access to Northwestern University, partnerships with Adobe Corporation and a world-class faculty, Roycemore students have the ability to become the next generation of leaders. By the time they reach high school and particularly when they move on to college, our students have learned to advocate for themselves, set goals and seek  answers to the questions they discover along the way, while connecting with a strong network of experts in the topics they are passionate about.

The Application Process

1

Start Online Submission

Applying is easy with our Online Application. We encourage families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents a tool for tracking online the status of their admission after their application has been submitted.

2

Gather Necessary Documents

All forms needed, such as test scores, can be found here. Make sure to submit a copy of the applicants’ birth certificate. If applicable, also submit any special educational or psychological evaluations completed within the last three years.

3

Review The Submission

Once all necessary documents have been submitted, a non-refundable fee of $100 ($275 for students applying from outside the US) must be submitted with each application.

4

Interview Process

Complete a formal writing sample at Roycemore and an informal interview. This is a great time for the student and family to experience Roycemore’s community first-hand through a campus tour or student shadow day.

5

Experience Roycemore

Parents and students will have the opportunity to tour the school, observe briefly in classrooms and ask questions about Roycemore School’s programs and culture! Based on the student’s interests we pair them with a current Roycemore student during our student shadow days.

What Type of Student Does Well at Roycemore?
