Faculty Friday: Marielle St. Amand

Meet Marielle St. Amand, Middle School Humanities and Upper School English Teacher

Ms. St. Amand joined the Roycemore team in 2021. She is a graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and History, and she is a licensed educator in Adolescent Young Adult Integrated Social Studies. Marielle recently earned her Master’s of Education from Loyola University of Chicago, while teaching through the LU CHOICE program. Outside of school, Ms. St. Amand is passionate about sports and coaching. This past fall, Ms. St. Amand coached Roycemore’s Upper School soccer team.

She says, “[At Roycemore,] relationships are at the center of learning. Each student is valued as a human and learner. This is something I value myself and am thrilled to be a part of. Learning should be fun, and Roycemore allows me to be creative in my craft and tailor learning to the interests and needs of my students.”

This summer, Marielle will be helping oversee one of Roycemore’s summer programs, Camp Griffin. She is looking forward to being involved at Roycemore in a more relaxed format. Next year, Ms. St. Amand will be joining the Upper School as History and Social Studies teacher.
