Believe it or not….Summer is Around the Corner!

Do you know what your children are going to do this summer? Believe it or not, Roycemore’s summer programs are just over four months away and the offerings are jam-packed with exploration, transformative and personalized learning experiences, and exciting opportunities right on our Roycemore campus, in Evanston, Chicago, and even Boston! Eight weeks of camps begin on June 13th and extend through August 5th. Offerings have been customized for students as young as three and as old as 18.

Expertly directed again this year by our own Both Long and Luke Berryman, and supported by Roycemore faculty and staff, this is an opportunity to keep your children engaged, learning, and growing within our same Portrait of a Graduate philosophy all summer long.

Established in 1975, Camp Griffin is our traditional summer camp experience for ages 3 through 10 that includes three different age groups with camp activities suited to the age. Campers are led by our experienced and inspirational staff. Activities include cooking, creative arts, dancing, drama, science experiments, human chess, music, and a range of field trips designed to make the most of our unique surroundings in Greater Chicago. Full-day or half-day options are available, as are extended day options. We are committed to providing a fun and enriching camp experience that builds friendships and lasting memories!

The Inspiration Factory is a truly magical place. Here, enrichment and extension for Early Childhood and Lower School students are built around out-of-this-world topics like LEGO Robotics, Science & Art Exploration, Little Chefs & Manners, and Water Works! This year, courses that are familiar favorites are joined by newer offerings, including STEM studio, The Chemists’ Laboratory, The Inventors’ Workshop, and Little Architects. The small classes are led by Roycemore’s expert faculty in large, well-equipped classrooms. The Inspiration Factory enables our youngest students to enjoy a summer of fun with outstanding facilities and at safe social distances.

Building on the innovative course offerings in Inspiration Factory, RoyceX is specifically designed with older students in mind. A range of immersive, experiential courses are customized for Middle- and High School-aged students and they have been designed to expose them to college-level thinking and to subjects they may not be able to study during the regular school year. Our wide range of offerings includes Architecture, Astronomy & Astrophysics, Creative Writing, Medicine, Psychology, Social Justice, Studio Art, and many more. They are joined by programs such as CSI Chicago, Cook & Ed- Iron Chef, Mini Golf PGA Tour, Sailing, and When a City is Your Campus (a unique opportunity to explore the hidden corners of Chicago). For the more adventurous Upper School students, an exciting trip to the east coast is offered in RoyceX Boston. Students will visit Fenway Park, Faneuil Market, the Freedom Trail, and other sites besides. They will also have an opportunity to visit some of the nation’s great universities.

Doesn’t it make you want to sign up for yourself? Well, you’re out of luck. These programs are just for the students, but be sure to sign them up soon before your offering of choice is sold out. For more information, or to register, go to https://roycemoreschool.org/summer/
