Tatum Hunsader, a 2018 graduate of Roycemore School, was recently featured in the July issue of Kenilworth Life Magazine. Tatum started her business, Tatum’s Sweet Treats, as a student baking in her family’s kitchen. She loved baking and was making so many treats, that the family didn’t have room on their counters for all her creations. After taking orders from family and friends, word spread about her baking talents and soon orders were coming in from all around the community and beyond.
She now attends the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York and is pursuing a bachelors’s degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and Food Business Management. Congratulations to Tatum for all her accomplishments and in following her passion towards a bright future in the Culinary Arts.
“At Roycemore, I was able to do my JST at Southern France Patisserie in Irving Park. The opportunity allowed me to learn more about French pastries and further develop my knowledge and skills. It’s really encouraging to go to a school where they care about student’s personal interests.”
