As my time at Roycemore has slowly come to an end, it has given me time to reflect on the different lessons that I have learned and the different type of people I have been able to encounter along my journey through high school. Whether people like it or not, Roycemore is a community. We all care about each other in one way or another and we are really behind each other when one of us is going through drama. Everyone has a different story to tell, and at my time at Roycemore I was able to see how different people function, their backgrounds, and their aspirations while connecting with them on a deeper level. Roycemore has prepared me for college and beyond and I cannot thank my teachers enough for pushing me to be the best me that I can be. I will be attending Colorado State University in the fall, and while I was accepted to other AMAZING colleges such as Clark University, Lawrence University, Portland State University, and Michigan State University, I am beyond excited to experience a new school with a wide range of people and cultures. I chose CSU because of the interactions that I had while on campus, the resources that I am going to have, and the amazing classes that I will be able to explore; I thought there would be no place better. I have been a city kid all my life. I have been going to private school my entire life, and to now be able to have my college experience in its own little town makes me feel as though I may never want to leave. AND WHO CAN BEAT THAT VIEW! Thank you so much for everything that you have done for me, Roycemore! I will never forget you. Goodbye class of 2018.
