After making some hard admissions decisions, I finally chose Hamilton College as my “home” for the next 4 (or 3) years. It is a small liberal arts school with only about 1,800 undergraduate students. Hamilton has an open curriculum, allowing students to study whatever they are interested in, and economics, which I’m majoring in, is its strongest academic program. Hamilton also encourages students to find what they love and what they want to be in the future. It has many great off-campus opportunities, and this is a big part of a liberal arts education school. Hamilton also has a 3+3 program with Columbia University for law study. Another huge reason that I chose Hamilton is the environment and ambiance of the school. Many current students report that they think Hamilton feels like a second home to them. Their school video of “Hamilton is home” really warms my heart, and students are living like a big family.
