Summer Day Camp Adventures Weekly Plans
GROUP O - Week 6, July 19-23

Weekly Theme: Indiana Jones Week

MONDAY, JULY 19

1. New Teams!
2. Obstacle course – “Throw Me an Idol!”
LUNCH
1. Lovelace Park. Wear your camp shirt! Leave: 1:00 Return: 3:00
2. Paint the sidewalks!

TUESDAY, JULY 20
1. Pottery shard art! Bring in a small pot that we can break apart.
2. Bombardment
LUNCH
1. Swimming at the YMCA. Leave: 1:00 Return: 2:45
2. Kickball

WEDNESDAY, JULY 21
1. Work on your pottery project
2. Floor hockey
LUNCH
1. Trip to the Oriental Institute. Leave: 12:30 Return: 3:30
2. Doctor in the gym!

THURSDAY, JULY 22
1. Smash those Pots!
2. Water balloon fight
LUNCH
1. Swimming at the YMCA. Leave: 1:00 Return: 2:45
2. Bombardment

FRIDAY, JULY 23

1. Reconstruct those broken pots like an archeologist
2. Games galore: bocce, four square and tetherball in the courtyard
LUNCH
1. Friday in the Park Leave: 1:00 Return: 3:00
2. Root beer floats and winning team awards
  • Bring a bathing suit & towel to keep at camp each week.
  • Please bring an extra set of clothes to keep at camp.
  • Campers should wear their camp T-shirts on every field trip.
  • If your child needs sun screen, please send a bottle with your child's name on it.
  • Please send a water bottle with your child's name on it for these "hot and thirsty" days.
  • Your child must wear gym shoes for outdoor and gym activities (no sandals please).
  • If your child will not attend camp, please call the office by 8:30 a.m. at 847-866-6055.
  • If your child needs an inhaler please send it to camp each day.
  • Please bring a helmet for bike & trike fun.
  • Please take your camp T-shirt home for washing on Friday and return it on Monday.

Activities are subject to change due to weather conditions.
