Building Roycemore's Future

In response to growing enrollment and limited capacity in the current landmark facility, Roycemore has announced plans to move to a larger site near downtown Evanston.

In June of 2008, Roycemore signed an agreement to purchase the 60,000-square-foot building on 2.34 acres at 1200 Davis Street in Evanston­. Plans provide for 40% more classroom, office and common space. Seventy percent more land will make it possible to build a new gymnasium with regulation size basketball and volleyball courts.

Other benefits of the new location include closer proximity to downtown Evanston community and businesses, roomier, updated classrooms, increased parking capacity and better accessibility to public transportation, with only a two-block walk to Metra and CTA Purple Line train service.

Occupancy is projected for Fall 2011.
